Van Den Broeck and Peeters longlisted for the AKO literature prize

Return to Walden by Walter van den Broeck an The Flowers by Koen Peeters have been longlisted for the AKO literature prize. The shortlist will be made public on Friday, October 1.

Chika Unigwe on CNN

Chika Unigwe made an appearance on iList (CNN), which had a special program on new faces in Nigerian literature:

'Among the new wave of literary talent are Chika Unigwe, an Afro-Belgian author who writes in both Dutch and English published her first English novel "On Black Sisters' Street" in the UK last year. It was described by Alistair Campbell, press secretary to the former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, on Twitter as the "best novel so far read this summer."'

Klett-Cotta releases Chika Unigwe's 'Schwarze Schwestern'

Earlier this month Klett-Cotta published the german translation of Chika Unigwe's Fata morgana was published by Klett-Cotta.

Paul Verhaeghen sélectionné pour le 4e Prix du livre Européen

Le roman Omega Minor de Paul Verhaeghen à été sélectionné pour le 4e prix du livre Européen.


Les livres sont soumis à un jury de journalistes, correspondants à Bruxelles des grands journaux européens, qui se trouve présidé cette année par le cinéaste et romancier allemand Volker Schlöndorff.

Le prix sera remis le 8 décembre au Parlement européen de Bruxelles en présence de son président Jerzy Buzek.
